Kim came to me with two dogs' worth of history to fold into one pattern. There was Panda, her first adopted black pittie, whose very first party hat started the whole gotcha day tradition. And there was Candy, her newest senior adoption, still settling into a life where good things happen to her. We talked through what made each of them who they are, then built a single pattern that could hold both: Candy's name in the design, a full Candy Land color story, and small odes to Panda woven in, including her original party hat, tucked in as a nod to where it all began.
